The highlight of November was Evelyn's first birthday! We didn't celebrate the day of, but here is a picture of her on her actual birthday. She is playing with an early birthday present from Grandpa and Grandma Elaine. It is a bike that she can ride on or walk behind. She dubbed it "Ah-E" and still loves it!

She had a birthday party the weekend after her birthday and Grammy and Aunt Priscilla came up from Alabama and Grandpa and Grandma Elaine came down from Chicago. She also had her friend Claire come. Claire brought her parents Ken and Emily along too! It was a great time.

The week after Evelyn's birthday we hosted the Meyer family Thanksgiving. The Grandparents came down from Chicago again and Jon, Linnea, Jonah and Benjamin came up from Virginia. I was a little nervous about preparing Thanksgiving dinner, but everyone pitched in and helped so much, that is wasn't bad at all. I followed my mom's example and made everything that I could ahead of time (mom, you're a genius!) and the rest was really a group effort. I don't think I washed a single dish all weekend!
